Overview
Video and 3D work has traditionally been a huge foundation of the broadcast and motion picture business. So how will live action content and CGI work together to create interactive experiences that get deployed over the web?
We’ll take a look at how original video content, 3D and Flash can be woven together to create visually engaging experiences that also augment the clients’ goals and expectations from a business and strategy perspective. We’ll look at a few recent Firstborn projects as case studies and show the 3D and video process from start to finish and how they ultimately came together and were deployed using Flash. In addition to some recent projects for Lowes, GE, Porsche and the US Treasury, we will show some works in progress and tons of behind the scenes work from on-set footage and photos to 3D works-in-progress. We will cover topics from storyboarding 3D and video to design techniques that allow your teams to think about using these different media types as tools.
Doing green screen shoots and slapping them on a cool background isn’t good enough for “web video” anymore. We need to combine elements from the film industry with the evolving world of interactive media in an effort to maximize the untapped potential of this area.
