In our global community, everything is appropriated. No ideas are new, and most will soon be generated by artificial intelligence. Post-modernism gave us permission to steal from other cultures to benefit our own. Now we’re training machines on the same bad habits.
From experience design to technology, marketing to machine learning, we’re going to interrogate the racist tropes and inherent bias that fuel the greediest engines of capitalism. Our systems can be built to keep people down, so let’s learn what we must do to prevent that.
