Overview

Flash 8.5 lets you create awesome designs and very cool looking ads. Too bad a lot of them won’t be seen. Online Publishers provide a variety of ad sizes and specifications. What is available can vary between publishers BUT Advertisers won’t pay to re-jig their ad to fit different specs. Did you know that if your ad doesn’t meet the criteria, it won’t be run on some sites. Creative designers need to know the basic formats and specs, and some common issues with design programs, or risk painful last minute changes to your creative or actual refusal to run.

This session is intended to provide an overview of the IAB Canada advertising specs that are most widely accepted –and some ‘tricks of the trade’ to make sure your hard work gets the exposure it should. Standard Banner and Rich Media Ads will be discussed.

Developers, designers,..anyone who provides creative for the online advertising industry. If you work directly for an agency or as a freelancer, this is for you.

Attain:

They should walk away with an understanding of how to set up their advertising creative so it will run on the majority of Publisher sites and some considerations to make when developing new online ads.
