Presentation

Overview

Dr. Woohoo is writing code to generate artwork on a wide variety of media including canvas, a wide variety of art papers, mobiles and glass sculptures. He’s hacked into his Epson printer in order to print on a wide variety of media including art-, rice- and Japenese-papers, under- and over-printing and emulsion- and gelatin-transfers. For the mobiles, Woohoo has integrated his creative workflow and custom AIR apps with the laser-cutting and etching service provided by Ponoko.com. For the glass sculptures, Woohoo’s software and scripts embrace cnc-milling with the traditional process of glass kiln casting. Woohoo will show you his latest artwork and talk about the processes involved in moving beyond a 2d plane.
