Overview
With the addition of AIR to render our results, Flash users can now tackle the kinds of problems that can only be solved by an animator and a developer working together. Crowd simulations, real-time puppetry, automatic lip-sync, fluids, physics, NPR shaders—effects that have been routine business in high-end CG for over a decade can now be explored in the world’s most ubiquitous animation application. For too long, TV and film Flash animators have been stuck with the feature set of 2004, while the interactive development community moves forward. It’s now standard practice for animators and developers to collaborate on TV/film projects and benefit from each others’ skills; if it can be done every day with Maya, surely it can be done with Flash too.
