Overview
In this session you will learn all about the many ways to extend and ‘mash up’ YouTube. From accessing the data API to creating your own custom YouTube player (controls and all) using Flash or Javascript. Features that will be covered include the new Javascript and Flash player APIs for controlling playback of YouTube content, the YouTube gdata API for querying and loading data from the YouTube site, and the new Chromeless player which allows you to build your own YouTube player with custom look and feel and behavior. The session will be full of actual examples and code walkthroughs, so bring your notebooks.
