Overview
The feeling of pressing an elevator button, the creak of an old bike seat, and the satisfying drop of a quarter into an arcade machine – these are things we don’t want to lose when making projection art. Though we use projectors and computers to deliver our work digitally, it’s more important than ever to engage people on a tactile level. There are still experiences to be made beyond the mouse, touch screens and swipey menus.
The delightful complexities found in the most mundane physical activities are often inspiring. We build on these satisfying experiences by using them as the point of interaction for our projection art. In this way we make biking, partying, and jumping on stuff even more fun than they already are. Plus, we have a blast doing it. We’d like to share the physical objects and activities that excite us, what we have made with some of them, and possibilities of where this can go.
