Presentation

Overview

Have you wanted to develop apps for a popular wearable device like Google Glass? Perhaps you had an idea for a hardware device that you’d like to prototype and bring to market? Not sure where to start or haven’t found the time to get into it?

In this session, we’ll learn the ins and outs of how to develop apps for wearables. You’ll discover the different platforms that are available on the market today and what technologies and tools you need to learn to build for devices like Google Glass and the Pebble watch. You’ll also learn the steps to get into prototyping and building your own hardware. The session will focus on best practices and lessons learned, so you can get the “happy path” towards creating new apps and experiences. If you like code and technical details, this is the session for you.

OBJECTIVE

Learn how to build software for wearables, and how to get started building your own hardware wearable devices.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This session targets software developers wanting to get into app development for commercial hardware devices and building your own wearable hardware.

ASSUMED AUDIENCE KNOWLEDGE
