Overview
Note that this workshop is offered on the pre-event workshop day on Thurs Nov 8 and therefore is only available to those who have ‘The Works’ or the ‘Workshop’ ticket.
In this workshop we will walk through the basics of creating your a mobile app using standard web technologies. We’ll discuss storing user data and communicating with the server as well as PhoneGap API’s for accessing device functionality. We’ll look at some JavaScript and mobile frameworks that you can use in developing your mobile application. Finally, we’ll see how deploy across a variety of platforms, including iOS and Android, using the PhoneGap Build service.
