Multi-touch interfaces have recently stepped out of the lab in a big way. With multi-touch products by Apple and Microsoft there is an emerging niche for interactive designers to explore. Flash is an ideal tool for exploring the potential of multi-touch systems. This session will demonstrate everything you need to get started developing for multi-touch.
Audience:
Anyone interested in multi-touch but primarily developers. A basic understanding of AS3 is recommended but an intermediate knowledge of AS2 will be suitable. Anyone wanting to build their own multi-touch display.
Attain:
Learn about the hardware behind a multi-touch display and how to put one together (including where to source parts). An understanding of systems used to connect Flash to a multi-touch display. Methods of using multi-touch data in Flash applications. A sample app will be demonstrated and potential applications will be discussed.
