Here's one for anybody who was around for the early days of personal computers and particularly BBS's, back when ASCII art was all the rage. Toronto developer Peter Nisch, who's set to speak at both FITC Amsterdam and FITC Toronto this year, has released a pet project he's been working on called ASCIImeo.

Peter has managed to build a Flash video player that does real-time playback of video in ASCII art form. Check out the FITC Toronto 2009 Highlight Reel for a sample of this craziness.
