Overview

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are now first-class citizens for creating Windows applications. Applications created using web technologies are visually indistinguishable from applications created using C++ and they run almost as fast.

In this session, Eric will dive into how a Windows 8 app is created, how it embraces (and builds upon) web standards and how building a Windows 8 app just might make us better web developers.
