Overview

It’s only too easy to not ‘look before you leap’ when starting a new development project, pretending to be an expert, and placing too much emphasis upfront on the development tools and workflows you already know. With the exponential growth of development tooling in the last few years, how do you go about choosing the right libraries and methodologies for a particular task to avoid regressions, monkey-patches and code soup? This talk will aim to highlight the importance of investing time prototyping upfront as an effective, pragmatic, and adaptive learning process to avoid these and other common pitfalls right from the start of a project.
