Matt Webb is managing director of the design studio BERG. The studio specializes in product invention and strategy, working with media and technology companies such as the BBC and Nokia, across Web, mobile, video and the Internet of Things. With Bonnier, BERG created the “Mag+” digital magazine publishing platform for the iPad. Other projects include “Schooloscope” with Channel 4, putting happy faces on schools data; a bendy map of Manhattan called “Here & There”; and “Making Future Magic,” an iPad light painting film with Dentsu London.
Matt speaks on the future and implications of design and technology, is co-author of Mind Hacks – cognitive psychology for a general audience – and in 2010 was named in the Wired 100 (Wired UK’s “annualsurvey of Britain’s top digital power-brokers”). He lives in London.
