Overview
Open Frameworks, sometimes referred to as “processing on steroids”, is an open source creative coding platform written in c/c++ that is used around the world. OF is used in a variety of environments including physical installations and hardware hacking to mobile apps. In this session attendees will get an in-depth introduction to OF particularly from a flash developers perspective. The session will cover setting up your IDE, core concepts behind OF, interactivity samples, using community add-ons, and finally joining and contributing to the community itself. There will be lots of source code, concise examples, and showcasing the best that the Open Frameworks community has to offer. This session is meant for developers who have an understanding of object oriented programming and want to try something different.
