Presentation

Overview

We’re wired to anticipate the worst— an evolutionary instinct to stay safe. Too often, we overestimate negative outcomes while underestimating the likelihood of success. This default in human nature can often, and unknowingly, limit creativity and innovation, boxing in what we believe is possible.

This talk challenges that perspective, advocating for a shift where bold ideas lead the creative process. Stephen Martell, VP of Innovation at DE-YAN, shares insights on pitching the impossible, embracing uncertainty, and recognizing risk and fear as signals that extraordinary things are on the horizon.
