Overview

Augmented reality offers a lot of promises, but is also prone to gimmickry and hype. FLARToolkit, a marker-tracking engine ported from C++ by Saqoosha and the libspark team, brings all of the above to the Web. FLARManager is an open-source framework that makes FLARToolkit more accessible. While this presentation gives an overview of developing augmented reality applications, it also investigates how FLARManager can be leveraged to generate new ways for users to interact with online content.
