Overview
In November 2015, Core Web Vitals were introduced by Google to provide developers as well as stake holders, indicators and key metrics necessary to provide great user experiences on the web. This initiative was a response to the overly complex and often confusing nature of available web performance tools, which, despite offering detailed metrics, lacked a clear baseline for performance assessment. Core Web Vitals were designed to provide developers and stakeholders with essential, accessible indicators for delivering a high-quality user experience.
FAST FIVE: Five Years of Core Web Vitals is a presentation that explores the current state of building performant user experiences on the modern web. It examines the evolution of key metrics, the deprecation of legacy measures, and the role of emerging technologies such as browser APIs. The session highlights best practices centered on the latest Core Web Vitals, offering practical guidance on optimizing loading performance, interactivity, and visual stability to meet the expectations of today’s users.
Objective
