Note that this all day workshop is offered on the pre-event workshop day on April 20th and therefore is only available to those who have ‘The Works’ or the ‘ Workshop’ ticket.

Trying to get a grasp on how to start building sites HTML5 sites with Javascript? This workshop will teach many of the basics of javascript development by working through a simple site example. Small scale javascript architecture will be explored covering concepts such as loading, conditional loading, feature detection, libraries, routing and the History API and basic DOM manipulation.

The end goal is to have a basic working site driven by JavaScript and is touch enabled for devices.

A basic working knowledge of JavaScript or JavaScript architecture principles is welcome, but not required. This workshop is intended for those transitioning into JavaScript development.
