Mike Kelar and Mikey Richardson are graduates of the Ontario College of Art and Design. Kelar specialized in graphic design, Richardson specialized in illustration. Both were award winning students and in 1996, shortly before graduating, they, and another partner, formed AmoebaCorp, a multi-disciplinary design firm based in Toronto that actively consults on and creates a wide range of work from print to new media.

Past and present clients include: Nike, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Coca-Cola, Yellow Pages, Sims Snowboards, Molson Breweries, Petro Canada, Rethink Breast Cancer, War Child, Coors Light, Corus Entertainment – Nelvana and YTV, Universal Music, Warner Music, Roadrunner Records USA, FirstLight, Mattel Toys, The Pop Shoppe, Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Canada Council for the Arts and Virgin Mobile.

Kelar doesn’t like teaching, so he spends his limited non-design time tracking down obscure 1970’s west coast counterculture country bands and teaching his 9 month old son Cash to say “Howdy”.
