Dan has twenty years of experience as a producer working for some of London’s finest advertising agencies and production companies. A passion for good design and strong storytelling led him to set up film and animation production studio Not To Scale in 2005, with this industry expertise and aesthetic appreciation fueling the steady growth and international expansion of the company over the last decade.
Strategically, Dan spends a lot of time thinking about where all three studios – based in London, New York and Amsterdam – are heading. Creatively he is involved with every major pitch, particularly in London, and works closely with the roster of directors to stimulate and steer the pitches and productions on a daily basis for the likes of Google, Nike, Unilever, Burberry, Coca Cola and Audi. He also makes the tea (sometimes).
Dan’s favourite part of the job is seeing his ideas go into helping win a pitch or improve a problem scene in a film; watching people grow in confidence and learn their profession at Not To Scale; travelling the world on expenses and being able to unwind with a drink at the local pub with the Not To Scale gang.
