Presenter Andrew Casden is a partner and Assoc. Director of Research & Strategy. With a specialty in design research for tech & mobile, Andrew’s ethnographic work has spanned a wide range of categories and continents over nearly a decade. From exploring smartphone use in the favelas of Rio, to hanging out with teenage gamers in the suburbs of Dallas, Andrew is always trying to uncover a unique human truth that creates that emotional connection.

He is also listed as one of the creators of the “Connecting” series, a series of short 20 minute documentaries on the future of design, tech, and innovation ( He has been a presenter at IxDA Amsterdam, DPMX Mexico, and has been a guest lecturer at California College of Arts Design MBA program in San Francisco.

Andrew has a BA in Sociology and Media Arts from Wesleyan University. When not working you can usually find Andrew on the slopes in Tahoe, scouring San Francisco for a specific food truck, or planning his next international jaunt.
