Details

The trees are thirsty. Instead of water they need you. This room at the venue which emits strange sounds. There is colored light flickering. It is not clear what exactly is the source. You go into the room and the darkness encompasses you. Objects become visible. These are miniature trees that are being illuminated by an alien light source. They convey a message. The fact that they are missing your presence. Move closer and you will see them become.

The tree objects are digitally fabricated low-poly trees. Interactive visuals are projection mapped onto the objects by using custom software made with the help of openFrameworks and ofxPiMapper. Visitors also have the possibility to try out projection mapping by using gamepads connected to the individual demo units.
