Presentation

Overview

Flash Remoting is the powerhouse technology for creating data-rich, client-server applications with Flash user interfaces. That’s the technical description. But more informally put: Flash Remoting rocks, and it allows you to create applications that rock. In this presentation I’ll discuss what Flash Remoting is, what it can do for you, and how to use it with Flash MX 2004. Audience members will get a chance to learn why Flash Remoting is, hands-down, the only way to consume Web services, load data from the server, and insert data into a database when developing applications using a Flash UI. And audience members will get a chance to walk away with some practical tips for getting started with Flash Remoting. Flash Remoting doesn’t need to be a dull, overly-technical, geeky technology. It is accessible, exciting, fun, and it allows you to create Flash applications that are more powerful, interesting, and useful.
