Brands and clients have a sense that they should be involved in social media, but they don’t know why. This year, our client Naked Juice stated that “they wanted a facebook application.” To that end, we said, “okay, what do you want it to do?”
The presentation focuses on Facebook applications, the technical boundaries that we face (from Flash, AJAX, JS, etc.), and how we can break free from their laggy servers and traditional, lifeless blue boxes. Not just a lesson in the Facebook infrastructure, however, it’s more a case on how we leveraged a community to help build it from within—all while giving back to the greater good of humanity and the environment.
