Presentation

Overview

Devoid of Yesterday consists of Directors; Rob Chiu (The Ronin)and Chris Hewitt (Dstrukt) and is the vessel for all of their short experimental film making endeavours. Cinematic Motion Design will explore the thinking behind their personal work such as Things Fall Apart, the previously unseen Até Amanhã (which was shot in Lisbon during the summer last year) and various other pieces including the OFFF title sequences for New York and exclusive work in progress previews. The duo will discuss their inspirations, photography, remote working methods with both of them living either side of the country, how sound is used to emphasise their work and concepts that didn’t quite get to the final pieces. Besides this both Rob and Chris run their own respective professional operations and they will be bringing some of their commercial projects to discuss, break apart and discuss how their personal work reflects in their commercial projects and vice versa!
