Richard Olsson is a Swedish freelance interactive developer, focusing on 3D in Flash and 3D workflows in general. Aside from doing freelance work for several big-brand clients like McDonalds, Toyota and Intel, Richard is one of the core developers behind the open-source Away3D engine, and in 2010 co-authored “The Essential Guide to 3D in Flash” (Friends Of ED) with team mate Rob Bateman.

Richard also manages the open-source, open-spec AWD file format project, and is a long time user, contributor and advocate of various other open-source projects.
