Pol is a graduate researcher at the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab. His work seeks to lay a foundation for designing alternative output technologies. Identifying limitations of current display technologies and conceptualizing, designing and building alternatives that addresses them. These designs are not intended to be substitutive of current display technologies; instead, they seek to expand the palette of display technologies available for visualizing content in different ways. Previous to joining the Fluid Interfaces Group, he cofounded Multitouch Barcelona an interactive artist collective where he explored natural interaction between people and technology, specially but not uniquely with multi-touch technologies. He graduated Multimedia Engineering by Ramon Llull University (Barcelona) and he holds a masters in Cognitive Science and Interactive Media by Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) as well as a masters in Media Arts and Sciences by the MIT Media Lab (Cambridge, MA).
