Overview

Note: This full-day workshop is on Sunday, 18 Feb between 10:00h and 17:00h (Grab a WORKS or WORKSHOP ONLY ticket)

In this day-long workshop, develop and create a short animated sequence with Oscar-nominated — and master of the short format film — PES. All media welcome. Bring your camera, your Wacom, your Prismacolors, or even your iPhone, whatever you like to create with. PES will work with you to produce your own animated clip based off a theme of his choice.

Objective

To make a short film loop using any animated technique

Target Audience

Anyone interested in animation

Assumed Audience Knowledge

Basic animation principles, some experience editing (Premiere/Final Cut/iMovie/Photoshop GIF/etc)

Five Things Audience Members Will Learn

  1. How animated loops work
  2. How to determine how many frames you need for your loop
  3. How to brainstorm ideas around a theme
  4. How to explore whether an idea will work or not
  5. How sound can enhance your concept
