Overview

For many developers moving to ActionScript 3 is like moving into a new house. Sure, in some ways it’s a lot like your old house, but there are a lot of changes too. There’s a much better kitchen, and the hottub out back is great – but there are more subtle changes that need to be discovered! Where’s the best plug for the vacuum cleaner? Do you still have to jiggle the toilet handle?

This session will explore those less obvious changes and improvements that come with the move to ActionScript 3 and see how they can improve the code you write every day. Everything from the core langauge to new built-in classes and even some of the less obvious parts of the big new features like the display list and E4X will be explored.
