We look towards the future with hope that technology will allow us to live more healthy and fulfilling lives. Augmented eyes will allow us to paint canvases in colors never seen by human eyes. Enhanced hearing will allow us to hear music in a way our ancestors never could have imagined.
Yet, the promise of human augmentation technology is shadowed by its potential use to needlessly divide society. While we cannot prevent all malicious use of human augmentation technology, we can work to provide open source, ethical and affordable devices.
