Overview

Prior experience with Flash is a must, experience with Flex or AS3 is recommended although not required.

Flex is the new kid on the block and to many Flash developers and designers, Flex seems like another world they can’t play in. The true foundation of Flex though is Flash, and as such it only makes sense that we distill the fears of Flash users with a session dedicated to showing how Flash and Flex can hold hands.

Depending on your workflow, you may find working with Flash and Flex ideal. Flex and ActionScript 3 integrate well, and in many cases can improve the workflow for individuals and teams.

This session will cover different approaches to integrated Flash with Flex, including loading Flash content, embedding it, controlling animation, and communication between Flash and Flex.

Prior experience with Flash is a must, experience with Flex or AS3 is recommended although not required.
