Presentation

Overview

Officially, Apollo is a cross-platform runtime that allows developers to build Rich Internet Applications for the desktop, using Flash, Flex, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, and PDF. I like to think of it as Flash Player 9 on steroids. Did you know you don’t need to know Flex to use Apollo? That you can just crank out an AS 3 application and turn it into an Apollo application? Since AS 3 is already ActionScript on steroids, Apollo gives the ActionScript developer undreamt of power! In this session we’ll look well beyond typical RIA-type applications, into things like games, screen toys, desktop widgets, screensavers, etc., things you might not have initially considered when thinking what you could do with Apollo.

Anyone interested in learning about Apollo or what they can do with it.
